ASTM C170 compressive strength testing confirms our limestone exceeds 60 MPa — well above the 30 MPa threshold for structural cladding. Water absorption below 6% ensures frost resistance in temperate climates.
For facades, Castle and Rustic finishes are recommended. Castle provides a refined architectural texture. Rustic creates dramatic shadow play that changes throughout the day as sunlight angles shift.
Opus incertum (irregular pattern) with wide sand-filled joints is the most authentic Mediterranean installation pattern. For contemporary facades, large format regular layout with 5mm joints creates a cleaner aesthetic.
Annual inspection of pointing and occasional pressure washing (below 1500 PSI) is sufficient. No sealing required for exterior applications.
